Webcomics werden immer populärer. Das sind sind Comics, die privat von Leuten in regelmäßigen Abständen veröffentlicht werden, und es gibt einige recht gute. Hier eine kleine Auswahl:
VG Cats – Worum geht’s? „Basically VG Cats, or Videogame Cats, is a webcomic about videogames along the lines of Penny Arcade. Though the last year or two I’ve tried to focus the comic towards Video Games parodies rather than two gamers. And totally random stuff when I’m bored.“ (Tipp für die Gamer unter Euch)
Something positive – Worum geht’s? Kann man hier lesen…
Elf Only Inn – Worum geht’s? „Elf Only Inn is a comic about Internet roleplaying chatrooms, where all the screen names are „characters“ interacting in a fantasy world. It’s like a regular chatroom where everyone is out to get…“
You Damn Kid! – Worum geht’s? „You Damn Kid! is a comic about growing up in the 60’s & 70’s with stories from the life of cartoonist Owen Dunne. It revolves around „Casey“ and his little sister „Dot“ and their oddball friends and relatives. Told mostly in flashback, the strip sometimes focuses on differences between then and now. „
Count your sheep – Worum geht’s? „The comic focuses on Katie, a young child; Laurie, her single mother; and Ship, imaginary friend and counting sheep of both.“ (hört sich langweiliger an als es ist, ist teilweise recht sarkastisch, Info auf Wikipedia)
DorkTower! – Ein Klassiker, großartig! *räusper* Ähhh… Worum geht’s? „DORK TOWER is for anybody who’s ever played Dungeons and Dragons, who’s ever gone to a Star Trek convention, anyone who suspects that Anime is more than just a passing fad, or anyone who KNOWS one of these people. But it’s really for people who know what saving rolls you need to make against a level III Demon, which Classic Trek episodes involved the Prime Directive (and who were the directors), and the names of six minor characters and a dog in the Bubblegum Crisis.“
Calvin & Hobbes Daily – Worum geht’s? Ach, wenn jemand Calvin & Hobbes nicht kennt, dem erklär‘ ich es auch nicht…
Bunny – Worum geht’s? „Bunny follows the gag-a-day formula, with no true plotline. The subject matter of Bunny varies widely (with topics ranging from popular Internet culture, to current events to rabbit ninjas), but usually portrays the pink bunny protagonist’s uncomplicated take on a given situation. Lately the comics have been incorporating schematics and jokes involving electronics.“
Dinosaur Comics – Worum geht’s? „Dinosaur Comics is a comic about talking dinosaurs!“ (Kurze, aber treffende Info… *seufz*)
Penny Arcade – Worum geht’s? „Penny Arcade is a webcomic and blog written by Jerry Holkins and illustrated by Mike Krahulik. It focuses mainly on video games and is among the most popular webcomics currently online.“
Ctrl+Alt+Del – Worum geht’s? „Ctrl+Alt+Del (CAD) is a gaming-related webcomic and animated series written by Tim Buckley, known online as Absath. The name of the comic refers to computing’s most common three-finger salute, which on Windows systems is Control-Alt-Delete.“
Player vs Player – Worum geht’s? „PvP, also known as Player Vs. Player, is among the most popular webcomics currently online, written and drawn by author Scott Kurtz, with around 100,000 unique visitors per day. It chronicles the adventures of a fictional video game magazine company and its employees. A popular but often controversial figure in the field of online comics, Kurtz is usually willing to share his opinions about comics and gaming culture in his blog, which is hosted on the same website as his comic strips.
Wenn man auf solch eine Seite geht, sieht man meistens immer die neueste Episode. Um in die Story „reinzukommen“, sollte man vielleicht ein paar vorherige Ausgaben lesen… Neues Material, wenn ich was finde. Viel Spass.
